Crosshill Nursing Home in Stanhope, County Durham was design and commissioned by David and Florence in the early 1990s as a purpose built Nursing Home. It opened in February 1992 and in the years that followed, in keeping with their ethos; it began to accept clients with residential care needs. It is therefore able to provide on-going care for clients whose needs change over time without them needing to move Home, or even the bedroom in which they have been living.

Our excellent team of highly skilled and motivated staff are lead, and supported, by our Home Manager, and Qualified Nurses who are on duty 24 hours a day. Our Nurses have a vast range of nursing experience, knowledge and practice including elderly care, orthopaedic, mental health, general medical and surgical and community nursing. Alongside our qualified nurses are our highly qualified Care Workers, the majority of whom have achieved the highly regarded National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) in the care field. We also have skilled and experienced domestic, catering and activities teams and these support staff work closely with our Nurses and Care staff to form an excellent team thus ensure the smooth running of our Home. Our commitment to quality is also evident in our staffing levels which are constantly reviewed to reflect the needs of Clients and the Home.
